AJ Federico is a veteran of the New York City music scene. A performer par excellence, he learned his trade from such a range of experiences as bartending at L’Amour’s and playing in an 18-piece band. Armed with an Ibanez 770 guitar and GR-30 synthesizer, BR-8 drum machine and killer vocals, he has crafted an unforgettable style.

Who is AJ Federico
AJ Federico is a one-man phenomenon with a very eclectic catalogue of original tunes.
A Manhattan native with a strong Roman Catholic background who grew up in Little Italy, Arthur James “AJ Freaks” Federico is no stranger to the music scene. His experiences range from three-piece to seventeen-piece bands. Now, he has found a solo formula that gives him full creative expression.
Disciplined and focused, he works his magic with an Ibanez 770 guitar hooked up to a Roland GR-30 guitar synthesizer module. A drum machine and vocals complete the package, creating a surprisingly full sound for a one-man act. AJ seeks to bring his message to a hungry audience. That message is that a person should strive to do what they were put here to do. AJ was put here to rock.
His songs range in style from the progressive instrumental of “AJs Race for Your Life” to the thoughtful psychedelic journey of “It’s Only A Dream.” Influenced by everything from jazz to funk to free-form rock, his tunes can take a turn in any direction, from a straight-up rock sound to a funky groove. This broad range, combined with his solo performing style and rich blend of musical influences, makes the AJ Federico sound unique and engaging. And while the pop stars from the charts make endless headlines in online trending purgatory, AJ approaches his craft with sincerity and patience.
“I won’t spoon feed you the top 40 style you can get anywhere else,” AJ reassures his fans. Onstage, he does not lack for grandeur. Stepping out in stage clothes that compete with the light show for brilliance, he sports flamboyant moves and pouty facial expressions that reflect the same emotions that shine through in his playing.
“I’ve never put any other goals ahead of my music. Everything I do is geared toward reaching the next level.” If his viewership is any indication, he has wide international appeal; over 3 million people from dozens of countries have watched his music videos online. “Cut You Off At The Knees” is his latest video and the first to give a glimpse of a live AJ Federico performance. At well over a million views, the video shows AJ’s theatrical bearing and his ability to connect with his audience on a primal level.
AJ also has a thoughtful and caring side that belies his wild onstage persona. “I hope to be able to fund cancer research some day. Children are the most innocent victims. I would also like to fund animal welfare.”
With his outlook rooted in his dedication to his music and his strong spiritual beliefs, AJ hopes to touch the minds and hearts of fans and to help make a positive impact on the world.
